The Foot Switch
Built for the OR.
The Aero Channel was developed from years of customer feedback, clinical insights, and experience from previous product generations. Designed with clinicians and subject matter experts, it provides a wireless solution for today’s surgical environment.
WHY AERO CHANNEL
An evolution of the
Crescent.
The Aero Channel wasn’t a cosmetic refresh, it was a ground-up redesign responding directly to clinical feedback. Smaller, cleaner, modular, and natively wireless. Here’s what changed.
01
Smaller Footprint
Aero delivers multi-pedal versatility in a noticeably more compact package, without sacrificing button real estate.
02
Superior Cleanability
A continuous molded surface wraps seamlessly under the pedal with no open gap. Internal pockets are tapered to shed fluids forward. No pooling zones, no dead corners.
03
Native Wireless
Wireless was architected into Aero from the start, not added after the fact. Tool-less battery access, O-ring independent of cap torque.
04
Modular by Design
Independently sealed components mean buttons can go anywhere on the housing. Sections are field-replaceable, no more potted-in repairs or unnecessary full-unit RMAs.
05
1M+ Cycle Life
Flip-up treadles use dual-spring and dual-bearing redundancy. Either spring alone returns the pedal; either bearing alone maintains function. A wear plate added post-launch extends life beyond one million cycles.
06
Unmatched Customization
Buttons in any location, custom spring forces, adjustable linear travel in firmware, color coding, and four wireless pairing protocols. The Aero Channel adapts to your workflow, not the other way around.

01
No place for fluid to hide.
The Aero Channel is built to be cleaned. Its fluid shedding surfaces move liquid off the control and eliminate the spots where debris, biological matter, and surgical contaminants tend to collect. Smooth transitions, gradual lead in surfaces, and wipe friendly textures make cleaning and disinfection quick and thorough.
Materials are engineered for compatibility with commonly used hospital disinfectants and cleaning agents, supporting long term durability and reliable performance throughout clinical use.
02
Wireless by design.
Wireless functionality was engineered into the Aero Channel from the beginning. The purpose built architecture incorporates a tool free battery compartment and a torque independent sealing system designed for long term reliability in clinical environments.

03
Optimized Actuation Geometry.
The Aero Channel provides actuation angles from 180° to 270°, covering a wide range of clinical applications. The extended actuation arc allows for ergonomic foot positioning and precise control while helping reduce operator fatigue, ensuring consistent performance across the full pedal travel.
CUSTOMIZATION
Your Application.
Your Configuration.
The Aero Channel was engineered with OEM customization as a core design principle. Its modular architecture enables extensive configuration options, allowing everything from user interfaces and control layouts to communication and pairing methods to be tailored to specific application and workflow requirements.

Aero Case Study
AERO started where the best designs do, with the field telling us what surgical teams needed next. The case study walks through how it came together: why the pedal flips up on a rolling hinge, how the cleaning and actuation geometry were worked out, and what it took to land a control that surgeons trust and regulators already recognize. If you want to see the engineering behind the platform before you talk specs, this is where to start. Read the AERO case study.
CONFIGURATIONS
Choose Your Configuration.
Three distinct paths, all sharing the same compact, cleanable Aero Channel platform.

Reliable on/off actuation in a compact, sealed package.
The Aquiline Treadle is the Aero Channel’s standard configuration, microswitch-based, available in single or dual arrangements, with optional two-stage actuation. The go-to choice for straightforward applications where simplicity and durability are the priority.
IDEAL FOR
On/off control, electrosurgical generator switching, and camera activation

Maximum travel, full cleanability, precision linear control.
The Flip-Up Treadle is the Aero Channel’s flagship configuration. With Hall effect sensors enabling linear variable output, dual-spring and dual-bearing redundancy, and a flip-up mechanism for complete underside access, it’s engineered for applications where precision and hygiene matter most.
IDEAL FOR
Surgical robotics, laser systems, powered bone shavers, and variable speed equipment
BEHIND THE BUILD
Built Under One Roof.
Every Step.
See the Aero Channel progress from raw components to a sealed, tested foot control ready for the operating room. Final assembly, inspection, and testing are performed in Woodstock, Connecticut.
Modular Architecture
01
The Aero Channel platform is designed to support a wide range of configurations. Treadle style, pedal count, actuation type, and user interface options can be tailored to specific application requirements.
Precision Assembly
02
Sealed switch assemblies, cable harnesses, and actuator mechanisms are assembled in our Connecticut facility under ISO 13485 quality standards.
Made in the USA
03
Each Aero Channel undergoes in process and final inspection to verify workmanship, configuration, and conformance to product specifications. All activities are fully traceable through the manufacturing process.
100% Tested
04
Every Aero Channel undergoes multiple stages of functional verification throughout the manufacturing process, followed by final electrical testing prior to shipment. Every unit is traceable by serial number.
