Engineering Technician
Job Overview
The engineering technician’s responsibilities include performing research, building prototypes, inspecting products, collaborating with production and design engineers, and reporting to the supervising Engineer.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Working knowledge and troubleshooting experience with electronic components and their functionalities
- Able to hand solder fine pitch surface mount components
- IPC -A-610 and IPC-A-620 Certification Preferable
- Assembling, installing, repairing, troubleshooting, maintaining electronic components, PCBAs, and systems
- Ability to follow and understand wiring diagrams and circuit schematics
- (Major Plus) PCB layout experience with Altium or other tools
- Experience in using test equipment such as digital multimeter, digital oscilloscope, power supplies, function generators
- Maintain inventory control of electronic components and tools
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook,..etc) and diagnostic PC software
- Execute and follow test procedure and plans
- Interpret mechanical drawing and follow assembly instructions

Reports To: This position will report to the Engineering Manager
Qualifications:
- Associates degree and 5 years of experience or 7+ years of experience in electronics work.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, computer skills, SolidWorks software knowledge, understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
- Personal characteristics would include detailed oriented, be able to communicate effectively, be able to multi-task, be a quick study, can prioritize workload and effectively work in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate
